Privacy Policy for Employees, Prospective Employees, Customers and Prospective Customers

PJ respects the privacy of its employees and customers and is committed to complying with the privacy laws in force in the jurisdictions where it operates. This Policy aims to inform you of how the nominative personal information (“nominative personal information”) that you submit will be processed and protected by PJ. Where applicable, this policy reflects and supplements the general Privacy Policy posted at https://pjmachinage.ca/en/privacy_policy/ .

Collection and use of personal information

PJ may collect information about you as an employee, potential employee, customer or potential customer. You may be asked to provide PJ with information about yourself, your business, your capabilities, and other personally identifiable information.

Personally identifiable information includes, among other things and without limitation, the following data:

• Email address, telephone number, fax number, web address, and/or IP address;
• Date and place of birth;

Retention and deletion of nominative personal information

PJ may collect and store the personally identifiable information you provide. The nominative personal information collected will only be kept for as long as necessary for business continuity, for legitimate legal purposes, in the pursuit of your interests or for purposes related to the purposes for which it was initially collected.

Once a year, PJ will evaluate the necessity and usefulness of retaining the personal information collected and the risks related to its retention and destruction. Personally identifiable information that has become obsolete or useless will be purged, to the extent that this purge can take place without jeopardizing the integrity of PJ's information processing systems. The Privacy Officer is responsible for this assessment.

Use of collected data

The personally identifiable information you provide will only be used for the following purposes:

a) For employees and potential employees: for the evaluation of your application and subsequently, for the purposes of fulfilling our obligations (including our obligations towards government authorities) and exercising our rights as an employer;
 

b) For customers and potential customers: for the evaluation of your credit, the execution and monitoring of orders and purchases; to the extent necessary to enable continuous improvement, marketing and technical support of PJ's products and services, and for the execution and enforcement of our rights and obligations as a supplier/seller.

Sharing your personal information

We are not interested in selling your personally identifiable information to others.

Access to your personal information will be limited to PJ staff and third party suppliers engaged by PJ who need to know this data as part of the services they provide to PJ (e.g. payroll service, processing of claims). insurance, accounting, credit agency, recovery service. ). Your data may also be disclosed to government entities to comply with applicable laws and regulations, or in the event of a court order or subpoena.

• Reasonable access to your data will be provided to you free of charge upon request sent to PJ via the address  privacy@pjmachinage.com . If access cannot be provided within a reasonable time, PJ will provide you with a date on which you will have access to the data. If you are refused access, PJ will provide you with an explanation for this refusal.

Protective measures

PJ uses reasonable administrative, technical, personnel and physical measures to protect your Personally Identifiable Information from loss, theft, unauthorized use and modification. We regularly update and test our security technology.

In the event of a security incident involving your personally identifiable information, you will be promptly notified and we will take the necessary measures to remedy the situation and try to avoid another similar incident.

Furthermore, if you become aware of circumstances that could lead to a security incident involving your personal information, we invite you to notify us as soon as possible and assure you that no retaliatory measures will result.

Given the nature of our business, our products and services are not intended to attract minors, we therefore do not deliberately attempt to receive data relating to children.
